A Teresa May backbencher has been jailed for 4 weeks for being ridiculously funny.
Police stopped a man from Hammersmith for driving his Audi R8 too slow. When he was asked why he was unable to adhere to the UK national speed limit, he replied with a joke that made both police officers burst with laughter.
Failing to take the matter seriously, the unnamed politician was taken into custody and charged for his banter.
Detective Chief Superintendent Holmes said, “We love a good laugh, but if a member of the public refuses to answer any of our questions, we will press charges no matter who they are.”
